  • Dr. Emily Murray

Dr. Emily Murray grew up on a small family farm in Loudoun County, Virginia where she spent her childhood raising and showing cattle, hogs, and goats in the 4-H and FFA. Dr. Murray was also very involved in the American Angus Association and traveled all over the country showing with her family. Her agricultural background and passion for the beef industry lead her to attend Virginia Tech where she earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Animal and Poultry Sciences. Shortly after graduating from veterinary school in May 2016, she joined our practice WVC. Having an extensive background in agriculture makes her a great fit for the beef operators in our region. Dr. Murray is a proud member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the Society for Theriogenology and has a strong interest in Embryo Transfer and Bovine Medicine. In her free time, Dr. Murray enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking and playing fetch with her rescue dog, Jeter.
